The third annual Portland Architecture and Design Festival is taking place this October and is presented by the American Institute of Architects Portland and the Center for Architecture.
During the month-long festival, you’ll be able to attend a variety of events, such as public exhibits, architectural tours, and a film series, to name a few. Opening Night Party
The first event of the 2012 Portland Architecture and Design Festival is the Opening Night Party. The party will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2012, starting at 4:30 p.m. The general public is welcome to attend this party, which will preview the upcoming events of the festival and celebrate the hard work that’s gone into preparing for the festival.

Home Tour
Another great festival event that you can attend is Design Matters: A Tour of Exceptional Portland Homes. On the home tour, you’ll see seven residential homes throughout the city that are architectural marvels and design spectacles.
The Design Matters home tour takes place on Saturday, October 13, 2012. It is a self-guided tour that lasts all day, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. When you purchase tickets, you’ll receive a map and driving directions to each home. Tickets for the home tour are $40 per person and are for sale online.
